Tips For Clean Eating
It can be difficult to choose healthier food when there are so many tempting foods all around us. Everywhere we look, we can’t escape processed foods and sugary snacks.
If you want to look and feel younger, have increased energy, make it your mission to eat healthier.
What is clean eating?
Clean Eating is not a diet! Clean Eating is providing your body with food in its most natural state. It is about making better, healthier food choices.
Tips For Clean Eating:
- Eliminate Refined Sugar
I agree, its difficult to do. Sugar is everywhere, it is in everything. Take a look at your condiments. Sugar, sugar and more sugar. Cooking from scratch is your best option to avoid added sugars. - Choose Whole Grains
Avoid breads, they contain added sugar and refined grains. Choose whole grains like brown rice and quinoa. I love my brown rice cakes with hummus. They make a great afternoon snack. - Eat Less Meat
Choose to eat less meat, therefore limiting the extra saturated fat from your diet. When possible choose lean cuts or heart healthy fish. - Eat More Fruit
Fruits make a great snack and they are naturally sweet to help curb the sugar craving. - Avoid Processed Foods
If this seems impossible, start by limiting the amount of processed food you eat. Everything is made to be quick and easy, but it is definitely not healthy. If it is in a box…. it probably not good for you! - Eat More Vegetables
Loaded with vitamins and nutrients. Vegetables are also rich in fibre. Another great snack is celery with almond butter. - Eat Healthy Fats
Healthy fats are found in nuts, olive oil, avacado and coconut oil. - Drink More Water
Drink plenty of water and limit your coffee/alcohol intake. Green tea is a choice for a warm drink.
