Ginger has been used for thousands of years by the Chinese to cure pain. Ginger helps relieve nausea, arthritis, headaches, menstrual cramps and muscle soreness.

Uses Of Ginger:

  • As a spice:
    • Add fresh ginger directly into your meals;  grate it up and sauté it with other spices.
  • Digestion:
    • Helps move things along, helping reduce cramps associated with being gassy.
  • Athlete’s Foot:
    • Its anti fungal properties make ginger a great choice for athlete’s foot.  Add fresh chopped ginger to boiling water and simmer for 20 minutes. Apply to your clean feet.
  • Nausea and Vomiting:
    • Chew on a few small pieces of ginger to help calm an upset stomach
  • Sore Muscles:
    • Its anti-inflammatory properties help ease the pain of sore muscles and arthritis

Recipe for Ginger Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4-inch slice of ginger root
  • 1 lemon wedge, juiced

Directions:
Bring the water to a boil, place ginger and lemon juice into a cup.  Add hot water!!

Ginger Compress:

For pain relief, apply a ginger compress to the affected area.

Directions:
Grate the ginger root and wrap the ginger in cheesecloth.  Place it in hot water for 30 seconds.  Let it cool, then place it on the affected area for 20 minutes.
