Do you use Antiperspirant or Deodorant

Do you use Antiperspirant or Deodorant?

When we are a pre-teen our parents kindly give us a nudge and we head off to the drug store or department store and stare at the shelves of antiperspirant. We smell a few and pick our favourite.

I did exactly that, but I had more than one favourite, I had about 4 or 5. I had a bit of an obsession with antiperspirant. However, a few years ago when my sister was diagnosed with cancer, I decided to take a closer look at ways I can improve my health.

I decided to ditch my antiperspirant for deodorant. Why?
When I actually looked at the ingredients in the products I was using…. I wasn’t shocked, but boy was I disappointed.

The products contained:

  • Parabens
  • Aluminum
  • Chemical Fragrances

Google the ingredients, would you want to have these in your products?

Shortly after making the switch the headaches I was having…. disappeared. I figured the headaches were likely from the chemical fragrance in my antiperspirant.

I don’t regret making the switch. It was difficult, but worth it. Check out my Facebook video about my transition from deodorant to antiperspirant.

What do you currently use?
Have you considered switching?
