Benefits Of Dry Body Brushing
Our skin, like our kidneys, liver and colon is an elimination organ. It’s the largest organ of our body. It’s estimated that one-third of our body’s daily impurities are excreted through our skin.
What is Dry Body Brushing?
Dry body brushing is exactly that… brushing your skin.
How to Dry Body Brush?
The skin is brushed starting at the feet and hands and brushed toward the heart. It’s best done in the morning before showering using a natural bristle brush. (For best results dry body brush 2 to 3 times a week.)
- Starting with the soles of your feet, use swift upward strokes and brush from the feet, up the legs, working towards your heart.
- Move next to your hands and work up your arms toward your heart.
- Don’t forget your back.
- And then your abdomen (move in a clockwise direction) chest and neck.
- You can do your face as well, there is a facial brush for that too. I prefer to use a gentle exfoliating scrub a few times a week on my face.
- Brush for about three-to-five minutes until your skin is pink and slightly tingly. If its red, you are using too much pressure.
- Shower after you dry body brush to wash off the dead skin.
- Ensure to keep a dry body brush for each family member.
