Benefits of Cardio Fitness
Working out is just as important to your health as clean eating. However, do you know why cardiovascular fitness (cardio for short) is important?
Cardio fitness is any movement that gets your heart pumping and increases your blood circulation.
Examples of Cardio Fitness:
- brisk walking
- jogging
- cycling
- running
- skating
- swimming
- snowshoeing
- cross country skiing
- roller blading
- tennis
- one of my favourites…. hiking in the Adirondacks!!
I love being outdoors getting exercise.


Cardio fitness is not all about weight loss. As you know… you can’t out exercise a bad diet!
Benefits of Cardio Fitness:
- Improved heart health
- Lower blood pressure
- Increased stamina
- Increased energy
- Improved mood

If you are just getting started with adding cardio to your day… remember:

- Get moving
- Keep your heart rate up
