5 Reasons Diets Fail
There is someone right now starting a new diet. They are saying to themselves, ‘this time it’s going to work’. And the results are the same each and every time. They lose a few pounds are happy with their results, but the weight comes right back again.
5 Reasons Diets Fail
-
Eating Less = Losing Weight
Simply not true. Most diets have you eating less, however eating less actually triggers hunger. And not eating the right foods keeps the weight on.
- Eat foods to satisfy your hunger, but choose real foods.
- Have a protein shake for breakfast
- Avoid late night snacking (enjoy a herbal tea if you feel a late night craving)
-
Crash Dieting
Crash diets — those involving eating fewer than 1,200 (if you’re a woman) or 1,800 (if you’re a man) calories a day — are bad for anyone hoping to quicken their metabolism. Although these diets may help you drop pounds, that comes at the expense of good nutrition. Plus, it backfires, since you can lose muscle, which in turn slows your metabolism. The final result is your body burns fewer calories and gains weight faster than before the diet. – webMD

Calorie Counting
You can count your calories, however some of those calories may be good for you, some of those calories are the culprits that keep your weight on.
Your focus should be on:
- low glycemic foods like nuts, veggies, chicken and fish
- cutting down on sugar intake
- eliminating all artificial sweeteners
‘Metabolism converts the fuel in the food we eat into the energy needed to power everything we do, from moving to thinking to growing.’
-
Low Fat Diet
Most people are still under the misconception that avoiding fat or consuming low fat products will help them lose weight. When a product is labeled low fat… avoid it. The ingredients in it are probably one of the reasons you have not shed any weight.
Good fats are actually good for you they speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight. Examples of good fat to include in your meals: avocado, nuts, seeds, coconut butter, olive oil.

Your Diet Is A Temporary Fix
Your diet is only temporary so you can shed the weight to look great at the beach or a special occasion like a wedding or high school reunion. Once that is over, you are back to your same old eating habits…. And guess what? The weight comes back.
- Stop dieting
- Find foods that you actually enjoy. Real foods!
