5 Easy Ways to Get Your Greens
Greens are a great source of vitamins A, C, E and K as well as several B vitamins. They are rich sources of minerals high in fibre and provide an excellent source of protein.
Here are a few ways to incorporate more greens into your day.
Salads
A simple way to get your greens. Throw in some romaine lettuce, cucumber, peppers, baby spinach and top it off with an olive oil dressing.
Lettuce Wraps
Replace your taco or tortilla with some leafy greens. One of my favourite dishes to wrap is Curry Chicken Salad in Lettuce Wrap
Dip
Create a dip, my new favourite is Guacamole Dip. Made with avacados, lots of vitamins, minerals and healthy fat.
Steamed/Sauteed Greens
Great as a side dish. Steam them for a short time to keep them el-dente and ensure they are still nutrient packed. Or sautee them with a little oil and garlic.
Green Powder
Not everyone likes to drink their greens, but it is a quick way to get your daily greens. Ensure you use a high quality green powder.
